International Tap House

The St. Louligans' home away from the stadium in the historic Soulard neighborhood. Founded by college soccer players, iTap always has the match on. Named a Top 100 Craft Beer Bar by Draft Magazine.

About

International Tap House, known universally as iTap, has been the St. Louligans' home away from the stadium since the early days of organized soccer support in St. Louis. Located at 1711 South 9th Street in the historic Soulard neighborhood, this craft beer destination was founded in 2009 by college buddies Brad Lobdell and Sean Conroy, who met playing soccer together. That founding connection to the beautiful game runs through iTap's DNA: from its earliest days, the bar has always had the match on.

The Louligans' Watch Party Hub

iTap Soulard became the official watch party hub for the St. Louligans during the Saint Louis FC era, hosting supporters for away matches where the combination of 40-plus rotating craft taps and soccer on every screen created the perfect viewing atmosphere. The USL recognized iTap as one of its Top Five Watch Party Venues nationwide. When St. Louis CITY SC launched in 2023, iTap continued its role as a supporter gathering place, particularly for away matches and midweek fixtures when the pre-match block party at Schlafly is not in session.

The bar's Soulard location places it in one of St. Louis's most historic and walkable neighborhoods, known for its French colonial architecture, weekend farmer's market, and Mardi Gras celebrations. For visiting fans, it offers a distinctly different experience from the stadium-adjacent bars in Downtown West.

Craft Beer Credentials

Draft Magazine named iTap one of the Top 100 Craft Beer Bars in America. The Soulard location occupies an old stable building with a standout feature: a near-tropical patio centered around a beer tap fountain. With 44 taps of local and imported beers plus draft cocktails, hundreds of bottles, cider, wine, and an extensive whiskey selection, the beer program is world-class. iTap does not serve its own food, but patrons can order from neighboring Epic Pizza and Subs or Mission Taco Joint for delivery directly to their table.

From Dare to Institution

The iTap story began on Super Bowl Sunday 2009, when Lobdell and Conroy opened their first location in Chesterfield, Missouri, on what amounted to a dare. That little bar that could has since expanded to five locations across Missouri and Kansas City. The Soulard location, opened after the original, has become the most soccer-identified of the bunch, a craft beer bar where the founders' love of the game is baked into the culture rather than tacked on as an afterthought.
