About
Northern Row Brewery and Distillery is where FC Cincinnati's match day traditions begin. Since the 2021 MLS season, this Over-the-Rhine brewery at 111 West McMicken Avenue has been the home base of The Pride — FC Cincinnati's first supporters group, founded in 2015 when professional soccer in Cincinnati was still just a dream. Every home match day, Northern Row transforms from a craft brewery into the launchpad for one of American soccer's most passionate pregame rituals.
The March to TQL Stadium
The March is FC Cincinnati's signature pregame tradition, dating back to the club's USL days. It begins approximately 90 minutes before kickoff at Northern Row, where Pride members gather to drink, chant, and build energy. About 70 minutes before the match, The Pride departs Northern Row and heads down Race Street toward Findlay Market. There, they converge with Die Innenstadt, The Briogaid, and other supporters groups from their respective bars. The combined march continues through Washington Park for the Corteo — a prematch celebration with coordinated chanting, drumming, and blue-and-orange smoke — before the procession moves via 14th Street to Central Avenue, ascending TQL Stadium's east staircase for the Entrada roughly 45 minutes before kickoff.
The Beer
Northern Row brewed "Supporter," a blood orange kolsch, in direct collaboration with The Pride — a crushable session beer that has become the unofficial fuel of the march. On home match days, The Pride members enjoy exclusive drink deals: all beers poured in 24-ounce glasses at the regular 16-ounce price (with the exception of high-ABV selections), plus five-dollar shots. Beyond the collaboration beer, Northern Row operates a full craft brewery and distillery with a rotating tap list that reflects the OTR neighborhood's deep German brewing heritage.
Match Day Atmosphere
On match days, Northern Row's taproom fills with orange and blue well before departure time. Scarves hang from every surface, drums appear, and the energy builds steadily as kickoff approaches. For fans who choose not to march, Northern Row projects FC Cincinnati matches on multiple screens — though the majority of the crowd empties out for the walk to the stadium. The bar also hosts official FCC pre-game parties with DJs, giveaways, and extended hours for marquee fixtures.
Beyond Match Day
Even on non-match days, Northern Row operates as a respected OTR brewery with a taproom that reflects the neighborhood's industrial character. The space features exposed brick, communal tables, and a laid-back atmosphere that makes it equally suited for a Tuesday evening pint or a Saturday morning pregame. Its location on McMicken Avenue places it in the heart of the OTR corridor that connects Findlay Market to TQL Stadium — the spine of Cincinnati's soccer geography.
