The Vibe

Endeavor Brewing occupies a Grandview Heights space at 909 West 5th Avenue that carries real weight in Columbus soccer history. This is where the Save The Crew movement had its most defining moments. When then-owner Anthony Precourt threatened to relocate the Columbus Crew to Austin in 2017, hundreds of supporters flocked to Endeavor's taproom to organize, rally, and refuse to let their club die. When new ownership was finally secured in 2018, it was announced here -- fans streaming in by the dozens and then hundreds, chanting under a giant banner that read "We ain't goin' nowhere."

The Setup

The taproom features an open main room with a long bar, plus a back room that opens for special occasions and significant soccer matches. Screens are positioned throughout for match viewing, and the space strikes a balance between craft brewery and sports bar. Endeavor holds the unique distinction of being Columbus's only "brewstillery" -- a combined brewery and distillery under one roof, with a small in-house still producing gin, vodka, rum, and whiskey alongside the beer program.

As an official Crew Pub Network member, Endeavor hosts away match watch parties that reliably draw passionate supporters. The bar opens at 11:30 AM on weekends for Premier League games, and the atmosphere during Champions League nights and World Cup matches gets genuinely electric. The back room is the best spot during big matches -- it gets loud and communal in the best way. Try the house spirits if you are not a beer drinker; the gin is particularly good. Street parking on 5th Avenue fills up on weekends, so check the side streets. The KC Streetcar is not available here, but rideshare drops you right at the door.
